Dave Curtis releases new CD

Take Me Home

Dave recorded Take Me Home between January 2008 and September, 2009 at Starlink Sound studio in Brighton, Ontario. Produced by Dave Curtis and Rick Hodgson, the cd includes guest appearances by Jay Boehmer (drums), Duncan Cooper (keyboards), Monty Flindall (drums), Mike Francis (guitars and dobro), John Hughes (bass), Tom Leighton (accordian, mandolin, keyboard, whistle and more), Zeke Mazurek (fiddle) and Vitas Slapkauskas (bass). There are also a number of guest vocalists on backing vocals (see the Songs and Stories link for complete lyrics and details).

Songs include nine originals and three covers.

Turn of the Tide

John and Dave recorded the CD "Turn of the Tide" in Halifax, Nova Scotia at The Sonic Temple recording studio in January, 2006. Producer is Kevin Barry Evans. Guest artists are J.P. Cormier, Tom Roach, and Kevin Evans. Additional overdubs by Kevin in Ireland at Liam Clancy Studio, and by John and Dave in Brighton, Ontario at Starlink Sound studio.

Songs include seven originals, four covers, and four traditional songs.

A portion of royalties for the original song “Listen to the Wind” will be donated towards raising awareness of the issues of Global Warming and Climate Change.
